We love to snuggle! Pleese rub my belly! Izzy is a 'chunk'!

I can't believe we've had them almost three weeks! Friday we head to the vets for another round of shots. So far no doodie accidents-ever!! Yesterday no pee accidents either! Izzy seems to have more probs training than Cleo, but she's still the baby! Heres a coupla short videos of them!
I've got them trained to sit and lie down as long as there not too many distractions, and there are treats available ;) Leash training is OK, but I've got to individually do heeling for it to work well. Both girls are doing great at playing and staying in the yard. Cleo is the one who worries me most. Izzy will try to fool ya tho--she can be sneaky!

Look at those big feets!

Heres what Cleo thinks!

Weekend snuggles & squishy puppies!

<< This is how we spent Saturday morning till 9:30am!! Snuggly sleepy puppies!
No rest for the humans--we prolly walked 10 miled over the course of the weekend!

Cousin Julie came to visit today! Izzy was scared of her and stayed in the living room, Cleo thought she was way fun to bark with and play!

We're still working on house training--a few accidents inside, but we'll get there.

A whole week!

We've had our girls a whole week now, and what a great addition to our family!
Izzy finished her meds, and both girls are due for more shots on Haloween!

Yesterday NO ONE had an accident in the house! They are doing really well on house training!

I've worked a bit with them both on names and "come" commands, but theyre so distractable--by each other mostly, I think I'll havta do some separated working with them.

Our daily walks are getting better--both girls get scared when they see other dogs, or hear loud noises though. I'm sure that'll change???

Short video of the girls!
Love the nose smear!

Its a grrrr-eat day!

The past three nights in the downstairs pen have been great...no messes & no yipping-yeay!

We just got back form our morning walk. The girls are getting better about walking especially once out of the driveway-thats when they stop trying to walk each other chewing leashes!

Cleo is a definate wild woman--I guess she'll keep that name afterall :) For whatever reason she gets even more crazy when we get back form walking, but then she comes in and absolutely crashes!

Izzy is almost doen with meds(1 more dose), and clearly feels better. She tries to fool everyone by her sweet act, but I've caught her several times instigating things with her sister! Sneaky thing!
Never got around to leash training(unless walking them is that!) and recall, but since I got most of my other stuff done, I'll make time today. I think I'll work on teaching them their names first!
Cleo tried running up the drive after we got home this morning-I gave her a firm no, then come Cleo, and a runnin' she came! She got a treat for that!

All Night Long

My girls did so great last night downstairs in their pen! I'm so proud of them!
They woke up and were very happy and full of energy. Most of it must've been spent playfighting, and roughhousing since they crashed at 6:30...
Later we'll work on leash training, and recall.

Love Love Love my girls!!

Izzy&Cleo's amazing adventure...

Both girls are still exploring the yard. Theres lots of new smells and critters to interest! As I write both are sleeping after a pretty good night--up at 4am, and again at 5am to pee then snuggled in bed with us. *warm puppies*

Tonight they'll be sleeping in the pen downstairs-I have intro'd it several times now, and have been in it with them as well--they are noisy at first, but calm down after a bit. I've got a night light down there, chew toys and some sheets and towels (with our scent on them) in the pen so theyre comfy. Of course water too.

I'll have to work with Cleo on her nervous pee-pee. Poor girl gets all excited! She had her second dose of wormer today. She is venturing farther and farther out on the perimiter--I'll have to watch that one!

Izzy is feeling tons better too--much more energy and a good bit less skittish.

Both are still itchy--may get some capstar, but need to resch it first.

Oope, theyre up--gotta go supervise!

Dawg Dayz

We had an ok night last night....woke at 3am and hadta potty, then we went back to bed, but we were very noisy for a minute or so! Mom & Dad almost got us and put us in the bed with them!
I'm sure gald we didn't--they went back to sleep, and were up at 8am. We're still wrestling with how to get each dog to eat from their own bowl, so someone hasta keep an eye on them for now.
This morning we introduced the pen we have to keep the kids in if were out for any amount of time. I worked out while they were in it, and both were whiny for a bbit, but calmed down and took a nap.
Izzy is even more energetic today, and still a bit skittish, and her sis Cleo is a nut! They had a ball rolling around and playing!

Overnight and into the day

Well, our first night was great! No one had an accident, and we all slept so well!

Since Izzy has had her antibiotocs, she is feeling so much better! Combine that with good eats and water plus a great sister and she's slowly coming out of her 'shell'. I'm so glad! They both slept until 9am, and played until noonish, its nap time now then lunch! More playtime later.

Whoever posted to a question I had on Dogster was silly...having two pups was the best decision we ever made! They completely love and entertain each other.

My two kids are such a help, since keeping an eye on these two is a challenge at best...they chew everything, so their rawhide bones are our relief for that right now!

BTW, Izzy is the black & white pup(Lab/Dalmatian cross), Cleo is the GSP. Just incase any of you were confused!

The First Days...

We brought Izzy home Thursday! What a Yom Kippur this year was! Cleo came home after the vets this morning, heres pics of them sacked out after lunch.
Now were not sure if we want to call Wild Woman, Cleo, but maybe Bess instead??? We'll decide as a family I think, I like Cleo, but its not like she knows her name yet :)

Anticipation...

So this time around were getting 2, yes, 2 puppies! I'm having a hard time containing my excitement...my husband says I've been getting the nursery ready!

Unfortunately I have to wait until after the Jewish high holidays are over, specifically Yom Kippur as we'll be out all day until 8pm--I didn't wanna leave two new girls alone that long.

Girl one is a mutt of sorts, Pure Dalmatian crossed with a Chocolate Lab/Dalmatian mix--a beautiful lil girl that has no chocolate at all, but all balck and white. I've noticed her feet are very large! Since we love larger dogs thats not a problem. I just hope she doesn't get past the 90lb mark! In two days she'll be 10 weeks! Girl two is a German Shorthair Pointer. She's been part of a family that originally brought home 4 GSPs(!!!) and decided that two were enough. Her tail has been docked already and she is just darling! This week marks her 13th week.

I'll save names and puppy proofing for my next posts!

I'm still wrapping my mind around how all this will change our lives!
